What does relevant products mean?
Relevant products connect commodity scope to actual products that may be placed on, made available on, or exported from the EU market. The classification needs product-level evidence, not just a broad commodity-risk note. This moves teams from raw-commodity screening to SKU-level compliance.
Source context
This page uses the EUDR Article 2 definition. Read it with relevant commodities and Annex I because EUDR follows named commodities into specified product forms rather than every derivative product automatically.

Definition status
Reviewed public draft page. Aligns with EUDR high-priority policy: source-bound scope/role boundaries, concrete origin and market-activity records, and traceability-focused commentary.
Key EUDR compliance trigger
EUDR applies to the listed commodities and derived products placed on or exported from the EU market from 30 December 2024 (large operators) and 30 June 2025 (SMEs), subject to the benchmarking system that classifies countries as low, standard, or high risk. The applicable obligation level depends on country risk classification as well as operator size.
Practical application
Implementation records should capture product/SKU record, Annex I code, commodity input, market activity, operator/trader role, bill-of-materials or supplier input link, origin evidence, and due-diligence statement status.
Minespider commentary
Relevant products are the product-scope routing layer for EUDR. Product records need to be linked to commodity inputs, Annex I scope, market activity, and origin evidence so in-scope goods can be screened or blocked before market movement.
Common confusions
- Assuming every product made from a relevant commodity is automatically covered without checking Annex I.
- Treating relevant products as the same thing as relevant commodities.
- Forgetting that product scope must be connected to operator or trader activity before responsibilities can be assigned.
