Former Northvolt Senior Product Manager Joins Minespider to Enhance Battery Passport Solutions

The Minespider team has grown even stronger with the addition of Andrea Capponi, a former Senior Product Manager at Northvolt, who joined the company earlier this year.

Andrea brings extensive experience in software product management and product leadership, with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency to help build a greener world. Andrea has a proven track record of establishing and leading high-performing product teams while fostering a culture of continuous discovery and innovation. He excels at delivering innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

With over four years of experience in tech-driven battery manufacturing, Andrea made significant contributions to digitalization at Northvolt. He led two teams focused on traceability and quality management across gigafactories, driving the development of scalable, cloud-based platforms and tools that supported both shopfloor operations and management.

Before joining Northvolt, Andrea honed his expertise as a researcher and software product owner, leading cross-functional engineering teams to develop advanced simulators for energy-efficient distributed systems, mobile data collection, and cloud/edge computing environments. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and received the Best Paper Award at IEEE GLOBECOM 2019 in the Communication, QoS, Reliability, and Modeling category.
